Security & data protection

Protection of your data, handling fraud, and your rights in the event of security incidents.

How does COMMITLY protect my data?

Your data is protected on multiple levels at COMMITLY. We work with Swan, a licensed provider that meets the highest European security standards.

All personal data is transmitted and stored in encrypted form. Access to your account is only possible through secure two-factor authentication. Swan is regulated by the French supervisory authority ACPR – this means your data and finances are subject to strict protection under GDPR and PSD2.

What should I do if I suspect fraud or phishing?

If anything seems suspicious to you – e.g. unusual activity in your account or suspicious emails – contact COMMITLY Support immediately.

Never click links in unexpected messages and never disclose your login credentials. We will never ask for your password or code by email or SMS. If fraud is suspected, we block your card or your access immediately and help you further.

How can I recognize unauthorized access?

If you see movements in your transaction history that you do not recognize, or receive notifications even though you have not logged in, there may be unauthorized access.

In this case, contact us right away. We review the access, secure your account, change passwords or phone numbers if necessary, and carry out an identity verification if needed.

What rights do I have in the event of security breaches?

If a security breach occurs – e.g. through data leaks, account takeover or misuse – you have the right to:

  • Blocking of the account

  • Reimbursement of unauthorized payments

  • Information about data protection breaches (under GDPR)

  • Access to support and restoration of your access

Our partner Swan assumes all regulatory obligations – you are legally protected.
