IMPORTANT NOTE:
The bank account is connected using your credentials.
The roles Owner, Admin and Editor can connect banks (see also Roles and permissions).
The connection is therefore linked to the person, not to the company.
With the Professional Edition, the bank accounts must therefore be assigned to the respective companies.
You find the function under ACCOUNT SETUP > My Bank Accounts. (A short video is also available further below.)
Connect your bank account with these simple steps
Click Connect at finAPI, our certified interface partner.
Optional: Select the start date for the synchronization. Note: The actual start date may differ from the data delivered by the bank.
Find bank. Enter the name of the bank or the BIC.
Select and add account - select at least one of the accounts shown
The added accounts are automatically connected to your company.
With the Professional Edition, assign the bank accounts to your company.
CONNECT WITH BANK and ADD ACCOUNT
The entire authorization and linking process is handled by finAPI GmbH, based in Munich. finAPI GmbH is a company licensed and supervised by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). finAPI's services are used by, among others, ING DiBa, DKB and Hypovereinsbank.

Here is a possible process using a test bank:
NOTE ON SECURE BANK CONNECTION:
This process ensures that COMMITLY has no access whatsoever to your account credentials.
At no point will COMMITLY ask for your account credentials.
The connection to your bank accounts is read-only access and serves exclusively to synchronize and reconcile your transactions.
COMMITLY can never execute transactions, so it cannot, for example, initiate any payments.
