Changing the account holder is not possible for regulatory reasons. If your company's legal structure changes, you must open a new company account and close the old one.
In certain cases, however, your company's legal representative can be updated.
This is done through our banking partner Swan as part of a defined review process.
Changing the legal representative
To change the legal representative of your company account, the current legal representative must submit a formal request to Swan Support.
The request can be submitted via the email address registered with Swan or directly via the support portal in the web banking app.
Steps to change the legal representative
Add the new legal representative
A member with permission to manage memberships invites the new legal representative in the web banking app.
The new member accepts the invitation and verifies their identity.
Provide proof of affiliation with the company
Submit a valid registration document (e.g. commercial register extract) or the minutes of the shareholders' meeting confirming the new representative's role.
Power of attorney (if applicable)
If the new legal representative acts under a power of attorney (POA), it must be signed by the current legal representative and submitted together with copies of the ID documents of both persons.
Confirmation by Swan
After a successful review, the Swan support team sends an email confirmation once the legal representative has been updated.
Please contact our support if you need help with the change or with setting up a second account.
