Basic functions in ACCOUNT Setup

Basic functions for bank accounts in COMMITLY: connect a new bank, add accounts, assign them to companies, set limits and manage access.

Add new bank

The “Add new bank” button connects a bank and its bank accounts to COMMITLY. The connection uses secure, legally required standards within Europe. Further information is available under Choosing the connection types.
→ Choosing the connection types

Note: Add an (offline) account manually

Offline accounts are created directly in the company. Clicking “Add offline bank” opens a notice with the button “Go to Company”. This button leads to the menu item SETTINGS –> Bank Accounts in the currently active company, where an offline account can be created.

Add an account to an already connected bank

Use this if a bank has already been connected and another account at this bank should be added. All accounts that the bank makes available for the connection are shown here. The accounts added this way can then be assigned to the respective company via “Allocate”.

Linking to a company

Each account must be assigned to a company in COMMITLY.

This is done under “Link to”, where the company can be selected or changed via a dropdown.

Simply select the checkbox and save.

Set limit(s)

Limits can be used to represent the liquidity limits per account (e.g. overdraft facility, internal thresholds).

How to set a limit:

  1. Click the blue number to the right of the balance (“0” by default).

  2. Enter the desired amount (e.g. -50,000 for a credit line).

  3. Any number of limits with different start dates can be entered.

  4. If the limit should expire, simply enter a new limit of 0 as of the cutoff date.

Update access credentials

If the access credentials for the bank connection change (e.g. due to a new PIN), they can be updated by clicking the gear icon.

Delete

Disconnect the account connection to the bank.
