How does two-factor authentication (2FA) work?
For increased security, the COMMITLY online banking module requires two-factor authentication (2FA).
Two-factor authentication (2FA) ensures that your COMMITLY account is protected twice: you log in with your password and additionally confirm your identity via an SMS to your registered phone number.
This second security level is activated automatically at first login and stays active every time you access your account – whether on desktop or mobile.
What should I do if I don't receive a 2FA code?
If you do not receive the SMS confirmation code, there can be several reasons – such as a network problem, roaming or an outdated phone number.
In the login window, select the option "I didn't receive a code". You will then get instructions on how to regain access – often by resending the code or using an alternative verification method.
How do I change my 2FA phone number?
If you have changed your phone number, you can update it yourself – directly in the login process.
To do so, select "New phone number?" in the login window and follow the instructions.
You will be asked to verify your identity, e.g. with a selfie or ID document. Once the process is complete, you can log in with the new number.
What should I do if I have lost access to my account?
If you have lost your phone or can no longer access your phone number, our support team will help. At login, click "I no longer have access" and follow the process to restore your access.
You will be asked to confirm your identity with a document and a selfie. Once you are verified, you regain access to your account and can update your number or device.
How can I reset my password?
If you have forgotten your password or want to reset it, click "Forgot password?" in the login window. You will receive an email with a reset link.
The link is only valid for a short time – if it has expired, you can start the process again at any time. After resetting, you can log in again right away.
