Security & compliance
DATEV access is established via OAuth2; tokens are refreshed automatically.
No sensitive document contents are logged in plain text.
The export respects DATEV error and rate limit policies.
Sandbox tests with a DATEV test client have been carried out/are required before live use is activated.
The DATEV integration is reviewed multiple times by DATEV itself and finally accepted and formally approved.
Best practices
Define the document type clearly in DATEV (e.g. a dedicated type for bills).
Before a bulk export, use the filter ("not exported") and check the PDFs.
For role/permission issues, correct them in DATEV first, then click "Continue" in COMMITLY.
FAQ on DATEV Belegbilderservice Rechnungswesen
Does COMMITLY also transfer invoice data (amount, date, supplier)?
Not yet – only the receipt image (PDF/JPG) is transferred. For e-invoices that are submitted, however, this information is passed along automatically.
Can I change the DATEV document type later?
Yes. Open SETTINGS > Integrations > DATEV and select a different document type.
Where can I see whether the export worked?
In the export history and directly in the Bills list (status/tags). If errors occur, the cause is shown in the result list; a Retry is possible.
We have several companies in COMMITLY.
With Professional, each company can be connected to DATEV separately (own client number).
I click Export, but nothing happens.
Check whether the integration is fully set up (document type set, token valid). If needed, reload the page, open the integration, and confirm.
